The collection consists of records pertaining to labor related cases of the law firm Jacobs and Langford from 1967-1982. Includes correspondence, legal documents, arbitration rulings, and court exhibits. Materials contain information on attempts by some members of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades (PAT), Local 1946 (Augusta, Ga.) to change their affiliation to the International Union of Allied Industrial Workers of America; a racial discrimination case involving the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees and the Southern Railway Company; civil and criminal cases pertaining to the 1981 strike of the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization (PATCO); and Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen, Local 8 vs. Ruis Ceramic Tile Company. Also contained in the collection are contracts, PAT local daybook sheets, an air traffic controllers instructional pamphlet, and PATCO strike buttons.
